Helpful Hints

If your recipe calls for a can of corn or a can of green beans, you can get a gallon of each, name brand (Del Monte or something like that) at Sam's for $3.84ish. The can states it contains 12 cups (24 half-cup servings)--I would assume that is the amount of FOOD in the can, not including the water. I'll let you know if I find out different!

FOIL PANS: Dollar General Store has Utility/Stuffing pans (9x13 size), 2 for $1.25.

HAMBURGER QUANTITIES: I paid $2.88/pound for 90% ground beef yesterday at Sam's Club. I cooked exactly a pound of it, and ended up with 2 1/2 cups of cooked ground beef. I don't know if this would translate the same for a different percentage of fat.
